Director of Legal Department of the Rural Support Service Inga Tarvane and Deputy director of Legal Department of the Rural Support Service Andris Lacis took part in a successful Latvian-Ukrainian cooperation project aimed at strengthening the protection of EU financial interests.
On Thursday, 31 October, the final conference of the project took place, where the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of various Latvian institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency, the Rural Support Service, the Competition Council, the European Public Prosecutor's Office and the Anti-Corruption and Combating of Corruption Bureau. The main objective of the conference was to gather experience and to strengthen the already established cooperation links in the field of inter-institutional cooperation. During the conference, the RSS also presented its experience. The final event of the project discussed the results of the cooperation so far and highlighted the lessons learnt, which will help to improve future work.
The event is organised in the framework of the project "Support to the strengthening of the capacity of the Economic Security Office of Ukraine in the field of protection of EU financial interests". The project has received funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2023 under the Development Cooperation Budget.
