On October 7 and 8 the Rural Support Service of Latvia (RSS) received delegation from the North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) to present work of the payment agency in Latvia, as well as to discuss the EU Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) administration aspects and implementation of other support measures.
During the visit, the Chamber of Agriculture of North Rhine-Westphalia management and other experts had meetings with RSS representatives, management of the Ministry of Agriculture - Minister and State Secretary, as well as with members of farmers' organizations.
Guests from Germany had a chance to visit farms "Eglāji" and Ltd. "Lestene", development of which was facilitated by the co-financing of EU funds. During the trip, representatives from Germany visited also the memorial ensemble of Lestene Brothers' graves in Tukuma reagion.
